RA180 Crewgard Headset
Overview

The RA180 was originally designed for the British Army's
Challenger II and continues to offer class leading
attenuation through a combination of Passive
and Active Noise Reduction (ANR)
Key Features
- High noise attenuation, circa 35 dB with
ANR
-
Talk-Through
- Choice of electret or dynamic noise cancelling micophones
- Immunity from radiated EMC fields up to 50V/m
- New, improved comfort earcushions for 2007
- Retrofitable
digital ANR (coming in 2008)
Benefits
Excellent speech intelligibility and hearing protection are
assured through the combination of passive and active noise
reduction, while new earcushion materials mean that they are less
prone to 'work hardening' and hence remain comfortable when worn
for long periods of time.
Technology insertion in the form of retrofittable, digital ANR
means that users will benefit from a whole host of new features
such as built in test, which will extend the headset's service
life and lead to reduced whole life costs.
Applications
Crewgard's excellent noise attention is suitable for tracked
Combat Vehicle Crew or fast-jet Ground Crew or indeed any
high-noise application where a close fitting ballistic helmet is
not required.
