Racal Acoustics has been at the forefront of
military communications since 1910. Over this period we
have evaluated and developed many technologies with the
sole purpose of providing the best communication ancillary
equipment to military forces worldwide.
Today’s military have the same underlying
demands as their predecessors almost a century ago - for clear and
reliable communications. However, the
performance requirement of the modern fighter is far
greater than those of previous generations. To meets these
demands Racal employs the ‘right’ technology to ensure that
its products provide the capability advantage demanded by today’s
soldiers, sailors and airmen.
These current technologies include
ANR, electronic Talk-Through and the use of
advanced materials to provide greater performance (acoustically and
mechanically) and reduce weight as well as other new technology to
enhance product robustness and durability.
Racal continues to research advanced
technologies, assessing their suitability for military application
and potential use in future product design. As a company we
are committed to fielding products that deliver the capability
today’s military forces need, only increasing technical complexity
when corresponding benefits ensue. It is through this full
understanding of the evolving requirements of the military
forces we are confident that the technologies we deploy deliver the
required capability.
A culture of innovation is promoted across the
company, and also extended through to our partners and
suppliers. New thinking and new ideas are actively encouraged and
aligned against user requirements and proven existing
technologies to assess potential advantages. We actively engage
with customers and end-users to validate these initiatives and
incorporate them into our product design and improvement
initiatives.
